The best thing is, they really care.

We would highly recommend Duran Building. We just completed a project to add on to our cottage in Bay View that turned out great. It was a big project – adding bedrooms, bathrooms, a new kitchen, a main floor fireplace room and then a storage room below. We essentially doubled the square footage of our original cottage. Matt and the Duran Building team did a great job listening to what we wanted, added some great ideas and then made it all a reality.  Matt has a lot of experience working in Bay View – so he respects the history and architectural design and knows how to work with the Bay View Committees to get things approved. Building with Matt is a very collaborative process. We had ideas on what we wanted and Matt built on those and made a lot of what we wanted even better. As an example, we wanted a big fireplace in our main room. Matt took Kendra’s ideas/design and built on it in a very collaborative process – and we ended up with a fireplace we love. But the best thing about building with Duran Building is that they really care – about the work they do, about you as the owner, about your ideas and how they can bring them to life and about your total satisfaction (they were great on all follow-ups after the initial build was complete). So we could not be happier with our new Cottage addition and would highly recommend Duran Building.

It doesn't get any better than that.

Matt and his team did an exceptional job renovating the cottage I grew up in. From the start, he helped me refine my floorplan and exterior elevations, identified systems and materials improvements to bring the 110 year old structure up to code, and provided cost effective choices. Once a renovation plan was finalized, he handled all the approvals with Bay View's Architecture Review Committee. The craftsmen that he employs are so skilled that they were able to duplicate existing woodwork in the cottage, making it difficult for most visitors to determine what is original and what is new. It was so important to me to maintain the historical architectural integrity of my cottage, and Matt delivered on that objective. He and his crew couldn't have been more pleasant to work with, and they are so honest and ethical. I remain very pleased with the Duran Building renovation. Four years post renovation, Matt still is there for me: when a violent storm took down trees and power in Bay View, Matt showed up, without me even calling, with a chainsaw to help clear debris within less than an hour. He came back later with a generator. It doesn't get any better than that. I highly recommend Matt and his team.
