Marcy has been an enthusiastic year-round resident of Northern Michigan since moving north from the Chicago area over 30 years ago. She loves sharing her passion for the local community with her clients, helping them build not just houses, but homes in the Little Traverse Bay area. When she's not working with clients and her team of builders, she can be found cross-country skiing or spending time with her granddaughter.

Duran Building was started by Marcy and her late husband, Matt. Matt was a third generation builder, passionate about delivering quality that lasts for decades. His legacy lives on in the quality of work and dedication to detail Duran Building delivers today.

Nate joined Duran Building full time in 2021 after multiple projects in a contract role. He brings decades of experience as a craftsman in the Chicago area to Northern Michigan, and his passion for quality workmanship and excellence elevate every project.

Nate's passions spillover to the woods. When not project managing for Duran Building , you can find him exploring the back country of northern Michigan.



Growing up as the fourth generation of the family business, Christian has experienced the building industry first hand from an early age. He brings his depth of skill and great attitude to every project.

Christian, his wife Amanda, and daughter Emmy Rose enjoy exploring all northern Michigan has to offer with their faithful companion, Jemma. They are coffee connoisseurs, and spend their leisure time hiking and working out at the gym.
